Welcome Inn

We stayed at the room at the top of the villa and the sunrise view across the valley was epic. You can see beautiful waterfalls, Ella Rock, Adams peak and all the gorgeous jungled hillsides from your balcony. We were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast in private outside our room with the most beautiful view and watch all the animals and birds wake up as we did so. Also, another review mentioned the egg hoppers... and I can confirm they are the best I've had in 5 visits to Sri Lanka!! The family that run the place are wonderful and it is a perfect distance away from the noisy centre of Ella but close enough to walk - its also on the hiking route for Ella Rock and a large waterfall, plus there is another waterfall worth visiting a short walk away down the hill. Highly recommended

One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! The location is amazing, just a 10 minute walk into Ella but away from the noise and with incredible views. Breakfast was delicious, room was huge and clean and the terrace is lovely to sit out on. We left at 5am for a safari and the hosts insisted on making us a packed breakfast, they were waiting for us with it when we got up - the kindest people!

The Welcome Inn is situated in the most beautiful location with gorgeous views of the mountains, including Little Adam’s Peak and Ella Rock! The host family was amazing - The kindest people you could meet. The food was delicious. We had breakfasts as well as dinner one evening, and it was all so good and plentiful. Town is a short 10 minute walk, but it’s also very easy to book a tuk tuk. I 100% recommend this little jewel.

Amazing homestay experience - super clean, very comfortable and had everything you would need. Lovely food - great breakfast. Very friendly, attentive hosts. Felt very looked after. The location was nice for us, as it was a bit out of town, but easy to walk in. Very easy to get to the main Ella attractions. Would highly recommend.

Proprietari molto gentili e colazione molto ricca e buona. Camera semplice, ma veramente molto pulita! La posizione rende il posto molto tranquillo visto che ad Ella c'è abbastanza confusione la sera. Panorama molto bello.

Tutto bene. La sera necessario prendere un tuk tuk per tornare, ma noi abbiamo preferito scegliere un posto tranquillo, quindi rifaremmo la stessa scelta.

We had an exceptional stay here in Ella. The location is perfect, very close to the main area but still quiet and surrounded by nature. The room was comfortable and everything was very clean. Breakfast was excellent every morning. What really makes this place special is the warmth and kindness of the owners who live there. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful during our stay. Another highlight was the possibility to have dinner at the property — the local dinners they prepare are absolutely spectacular. Highly recommended if you stay in Ella.
