The location and design of the rooms were really great.

Restaurant was closed unfortunately, we wanted to eat there :(

Breakfast sat in a bag over night. The salad was badly wilted. It would have been better to put it in the room fridge.. Street was quite noisy through the night.

The location is superb, a few steps away from the main tourist sites. The room is very traditional but appointed to high standard if you like ornate stuff - curly brass fittings etc. It's spotless, access is easy, the staff are efficient, etc. It has many things going for it.

The breakfast is an absolute joke! They leave sandwiches in the lobby outside your room the night before, not even in a fridge! Super-soggy next day sandwich for breakfast - meh. One day they gave us salad. A bit odd for breakfast, but perhaps that's a local thing. However we weren't keen to eat a salad that's been sitting out all night, so we didn't touch it. Also they leave ground (not instant) coffee and a kettle in the lobby, but no cafetiere or other device for straining out the coffee grounds. I don't mind - I like Greek/Turkish coffee and can chew the grounds. But not many people are going to like this. So - worst breakfast we've ever had anywhere in the world in a place that claims to "include breakfast". It's crazy - an otherwise good placed with a quality restaurant downstairs but they do this "breakfast" - why? Is this some ploy to navigate regulations, so they can call themselves "B&B" or something?

The location is great, and actually silent for the part of the city. Really good. The room is beautiful and spacious, the shower is powerful and stable and the WiFi works well. The restaurant downstairs is lovely too.

The facilities of the room are unfortunately not great. - They say that you get continental breakfast, but that's not what continental breakfast looks like. You get an apple and a sandwich made by them the day before with whatever bread the had left and some filling. No juice, no yogurt, no options to choose... Nothing. And the coffee they offer is ground coffee, but all you get is a kettle, so tea or water from the bathroom tap. - Bed too soft and pillow too thin - Toilet seat is far to high - The bathroom doesn't offer ANY privacy, with a door beautifully decorated but lots of open gaps....

Attractive, characterful, small hotel in heart of the old town. Very quiet unbeatable location although builders next door were a bit noisy when we stayed.

As other reviewers have said the breakfast in a bag is very poor for a hotel that is otherwise really lovely. However we knew that when we booked so enjoyed our stay anyway and there are lots of nice places to eat locally.
