Mayan Bungalow Near Chichén

Luis is super kind and knowledgeable about places to visit. He greeted us with two dogs who are very friendly too. One dog guided us to the restaurant in the village. Every morning his family cooked us a hearty meal with a different menu each day customized to your tastes and dietary requirements. They even did our laundry. He made us feel so welcome. You can walk around in the garden. The location is great, near Chichen Itza. The village of X-Calakoop is walkable and folks are also friendly.

There can be bugs and lizards around but it’s the jungle so you can expect that. Internet can be slow but again it’s the jungle so you can immerse yourself more in nature and away from city life.

Luis is an amazing host—warm, welcoming, and full of fantastic local tips. His beautiful rustic garden bungalow near Chichen Itza is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a peaceful escape. And the breakfast? Absolutely incredible! If you’re looking for an authentic and cozy stay near the ruins, this is your perfect spot.

The host Luis is an amazing person—kind, welcoming, and very accommodating. His wife is a wonderful cook, and the breakfasts were absolutely fabulous. The entire stay felt truly authentic and made the experience very special. The room was clean and comfortable, with both a fan and AC available. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We made our itinerary solely based on Luis' recommendations and everything went so well!

Sehr ruhige und gepflegte Lage in einer kleinen Ortschaft. Wunderschöner Garten mit Liebe zum Detail. Sehr schmackhaftes umfangreiches Frühstück mit reichlich Auswahlmöglichkeiten. Sehr sehr fürsorglicher Gastgeber der jede Frage zu 1000 Prozent beantwortet. Obwohl wir nur eine Nacht gebucht haben wurden wir herzlich und familiär aufgenommen und das hat man in jedem Moment gespürt.

Struttura con 3 bungalow in mezzo ad un giardino che sa di giungla. Il proprietario é di una gentilezza ed accoglienza estreme. Ci ha anche eccezionalmente preparato la cena essendo la sera di Natale! Struttura molto suggestiva a pochi minuti Chichén Itza, assolutamente consigliata.

It’s a really nice place to stay. The location is only a couple of minutes away from Chichen Itza. Luis is an awesome host and gave some good recommendations on what else to do in the area. The breakfast is a blast!
