Absolutely horrible experience! We booked this place while traveling from Warsaw to see Augustów, but the host refused to give us our money back when we arrived, because we supposedly “broke the rules” by coming with a tiny puppy (a Maltese). Yes, in the fine print it says “no pets allowed,” but it was not clearly visible. Still, the way we were treated was beyond unacceptable. We didn’t even enter our room, didn’t take the keys, didn’t stay for a single minute — yet the host arrogantly refused a refund and told us to “call Booking” instead. Even after Booking support called them directly to ask for a free cancellation and refund, the host refused again with a ridiculous excuse: “someone else could have booked the room.” That is a blatant lie — the house was completely empty, no other guests were there. The listing photos are misleading — in reality the house is much smaller, there’s a construction site next door, and the hosts themselves live in the same building, which means ZERO privacy. On top of that, the hosts were extremely rude, condescending, and clearly took advantage of the fact that we don’t speak perfect Polish. Their behavior was openly xenophobic and disgusting. We wasted our money on fuel, lost our time, and our trip was ruined because of their greed and lack of basic decency. The evening was completely spoiled. Do NOT book this place. Dishonest hosts, false advertising, no respect for guests, and absolutely inhumane treatment. One of the worst experiences we’ve ever had!!!!
