Very noisy over the weekend with two pubs opposite the guesthouse

The property is really nice and well situated in the perfect location right in the middle of town. The breakfast was very nice (€15 pp) and the service provided by Jacqueline was top notch. The property is a historic building and is very pretty. My partner and I stayed in the top floor apartment (#4 - the first "superior queen room" listed on Booking, "Appartement Carillon" listed on their website). The apartment was really nice and was a great deal. The apartment is the length of the building and overlooks the terrace in the back and has a window to the street in the front, as well as windows throughout the sides of the slanted roof. It has pretty wooden beams and a nice living room and kitchen. There was also a fan provided and a very large bed that you can adjust up and down. We were very happy with our stay and I would definitely return!

The wifi isn't great (I had to use my phone as a hotspot). Also, I'm a particularly light sleeper and there can be some street noise from the bars that are open quite late. However, this is all because of the one window facing the street hasn't been replaced with a sound dampening window (the rest of them are all very soundproof). Jacqueline said the company that was supposed to replace it no longer exists, and it would be replaced in the next couple of months. My partner had no issues with the noise and I was ok wearing ear plugs. However, I think staying in the "Appartement Nonnekeshof" in the back of the property would probably be better for being quieter. Again, this is only because I'm a really light sleeper.

The property is located on the center of the city. You have many restaurants and shops just around the corner. Easy self checking. The room was big enough and equipped with everything that you need.
