Great warm, tidy clean room. Location excellent. Views from the room were exceptional.

We had an exceptional experience during our recent stay at the lodge with our family. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The accommodations were comfortable and well-equipped, providing plenty of space for our family to relax and enjoy each other's company. The amenities offered were fantastic! We loved the beautiful surroundings, which provided a perfect backdrop for our outdoor adventures. The kids especially enjoyed the activities available, from hiking trails to the playground, keeping them entertained throughout our stay. Overall, our stay was filled with wonderful memories, and we can't thank the staff enough for their hospitality. We look forward to returning in the future for more family fun!

The Location, and Carol is so adorable and so much caring

Locally run hotel with lots of parking space behind the back of the building. It was easy to find just off the main road into Invercargill and checking in was easy. Carol and her husband were super friendly and welcoming, checking me in quickly and providing lots of information about the area and recommendations on places to eat and drink etc. I went along to a couple of her recommendations and they were on point. The cute wine bar in town was especially cosy and delightful! The residence itself is large with a dining room for guests to have breakfast in the mornings and a sofa filled living space to chill, read or watch television if you so desire. The room itself was spacious, with hanging space for clothing, a comfy bed - with electric blanket which was perfect in NZ winter - and an attached bathroom which with high quality, clean and well maintained. Location wise if you are wanting to walk anywhere you need to leave time for a 20 minute stroll into the main street around the train station but this was perfect for me after a long day behind the wheel. Queens Park is within 5 minute walk away and a lovely way to spend time! I very much enjoyed my stay here and meeting Carol. I would recommend anyone to stay here if they are heading to Invercargill!

The host was super friendly and helpful. The room and the bed were comfortable and the shower was great. Breakfast was good too.
