Hilltop Whakaipo Estate

34 nights spread across Singapore, Australia and NZ, and this was the best of the lot! Peter and Michelle were so kind, and we got to see so many animals. Not only was the view excellent, but the details in the room were just perfect. The breakfast was wonderful as well, but the absolute highlight was Bear, Jess and Meg. 10/10, will definitely return here next time we’re heading to the North Island.

Wonderful property with magnificent views from on top of the hill. Communication was great and Peter was there to meet us and make us feel comfortable. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast prepared by Michelle then Peter took us to feed the deer and sheep which was a delightful experience. We loved chatting with both of them about their home and life in New Zealand. Thank you for a very memorable stay.

Великолепное место с очень гостеприимными хозяевами. Впечатляющий вид из окна на озеро и горные вершины. Вкусные, разнообразные, завтраки. И, конечно же, экскурсия на ферму, где можно погладить оленей и белых овечек с черными мордочками. Пусть вас не пугает расположение, 20 минут на машине от Таупо по живописным окрестностям стоит того, чтобы здесь остановится.

Es war der absolute Wahnsinn! Wir hatten einen so schönen Aufenthalt. Von vorne bis hinten hat alles mehr als gepasst und unsere Erwartungen wurden bei weitem übertroffen. Die Gastgeber/in waren sehr zuvorkommend und super freundlich. Man hat sich mehr als willkommen gefühlt. Die Lage der Unterkunft auf einem Hügel über dem See Taupo, den vielen Tieren (speziell den drei Hunden) und der Ruhe war ein absoluter Traum. Zudem wurde uns jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Es war einfach rundum perfekt! So auch das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen. Jedem der diese Unterkunft bucht, können wir nur gratulieren. Es ist traumhaft und wenn wir könnten, würden wir noch viiiiel länger bleiben wollen. Danke an Michelle und Peter für die Herzlichkeit!

Absolutely the best lifestyle stay in Taupo, truly perfect! If you love animals, this place is pure heaven. The hosts have three lovely Labradors, fallow deers, Suffolk sheep and Belted Galloway cattle, so there’s always something cute to watch. Michelle’s breakfasts are a delight, and the sunsets and sunrises are stunning. I can hardly find any faults. We will definitely be back!
