Spectacular views. Very clean. Basic furnishings but comfortable. Very comfortable beds. Amazing value for money if you just need somewhere clean and cheap for the night. Out of the centre which was a bonus for us. The house is absolutely epic. It’s like a set of a horror movie and since it seemed we were the only people there, this was more so. I was initially very excited…until it was time to settle for the night….

Saw absolutely no one the whole time we were there. Had to leave front door unlocked all night because although every other room was empty, the door opposite was closed (was open when we went out for food and closed when we came back but we neither saw nor heard any sign of anyone and we were awake with our door open until 1.30am because we were too hot (very spooky)) and so we didn’t know if we would be locking someone out. This needs to be sorted out if it is going to be a contact free check in. The room was very hot. The bulbs in the sloped ceiling were very hot to touch. No air con (fine for the price) but be aware of this because there are a lot of bugs if you leave the door open. The ceiling in room 5 is very low and the bathroom is too small to use and the toilet doesn’t flush a lot of the time. The lights in the room flickered a lot. There is absolutely no home comforts (again, fine for the price) but again be aware of this. No coffee/ kettle, water etc. And then there’s the slope. We were fine but as others have said, it is VERY steep so agin be aware.

When we arrived at due time, there was no one there and the house was closed. Although I had receiced a confirmation by e-mail and we called them when we arrived, , they didn't show up. Very bad!

Very kind owners. Great view to the castle.

The place is up the hill and not ideal for people who have a car and want to park it there, even with an SUV it was not easy.
