Bed & Breakfast Tsukiya

Beautiful traditional house in a quiet location not too far from Kyoto station. Everything was so clean and the breakfast was delicious! A wonderful experience - thank you.

Some of the other guests were quite noisy coming in late at night so bring earplugs as the walls are quite thin (although the accommodation also provide ear plugs which is helpful). Also, the property has a shared bathroom / toilet so sometimes there was a bit of a wait to access.

The whole experience

Is a Japanese Michaya house. Only one bathroom is a challenge to share with 10 to 12 fully booked. It is near Kyoto station 15 mins walk in a neighborhood place. So you can discover more japanese life there.

In the evening dark the street light not bright. You tend to have difficulty in finding the BnB Tsukiya.

This is a traditional machiya house is that’s your thing and the location is decent. The host is kind and accommodating.

My room upstairs for tiny and there isn’t really enough space to stand as well. Would only recommend staying here for a night or two for the experience.

It is a traditionell Kyoto townhouse, everything is original and in very good condition. One has to Share the bathroom with others, but only Four rooms, so Not many people. It was Not Noise, I felt really comfortable and slept well. Breakfast was always a surprise and I enjoyed it every Morning. I stayed for Seven Nights and felt being at Home. Exzellent for those who want to enjoy Japanese Style.

Great breakfast and the location has great accessibility

The machiya is very small and calls for the customer to take care of several amenities by themselves. Foreigners be advised, manage your expectations and you'd have a grand time
