The Hill Town Cottage

Majiteľ aj majiteľka boli veľmi milí a ochotní. Ráno nám pripravili jednoduché, ale postačujúce raňajky spolu s misou čerstvého ovocia, lokálnym čajom a kávou. Keďže večer býva chladno, poskytli nám ohrievač do priestoru pred izbou a ponúkli aj ďalšie deky, čo sme veľmi ocenili. Výhodou je aj možnosť platby kartou. Na izbe bol adaptér. Pri príchode nás čakali, všetko nám vysvetlili a poloha ubytovania je dobrá, veľa miest v Nuwara Eliya je dostupných pešo.

Lokalita je prirodzene chladná a vlhká, čo spôsobuje pomalé schnutie a v kúpeľni bola viditeľná pleseň v sprche. Samotný dom je už starší a podľa nášho názoru by cena mohla lepšie zodpovedať jeho stavu, prípadne by pomohla menšia rekonštrukcia kúpeľne.

Very nice clean room and bathroom. Pretty close to the centre of town but also very quiet at night. Great breakfast! As someone else mentioned there is no heating so it can be a bit cool but this was a nice break from the heat of the rest of the country. They provide cozy blankets so it didn’t bother us!

Balcony could use a little washing to make it more pleasant to spend time on, but not a big problem.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans ce cottage. Bien entretenu, super bien situé pour vous les points d’intérêts de la petite ville de Nuwara Eliya. Merci à Ragu pour sa disponibilité et sa bienveillance.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Das Essen war auch sehr gut und den Waschservice können wir nur empfehlen. Besonders Ragu hat uns unseren Aufenthalt Versüßt. Wir haben eine tolle Wanderung mit ihm gemacht.

10/10 The property was well maintained and gave a very pleasant feel. The owner received us warmly and even offered tea on arrival, which was a nice gesture. Raghu, the caretaker, was exceptional—always helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The food was excellent. We enjoyed both Indian breakfast and dinner. Dinner, especially the roti with mixed vegetable curry, was simply outstanding. The owners (husband and wife) were very friendly and made us feel at home. With such hospitality and service, our overall experience was wonderful. Gardens are very well maintained. Though it was cold (13degrees) we enjoyed a lot at this property.

La struttura è molto bella e lo staff super disponibile. La camera è il bagno molto puliti. Consigliamo di soggiornare in questo bellissimo cottage. Anche la colazione era molto buona.

La stanza era molto fredda, il serramento era un po’ debole e faceva entrare il freddo. Ma loro sono stati super gentili e ci hanno dato una seconda coperta.

Un hotel precioso, muy limpio, a pocos minutos del centro de Nuwara Eliya caminando, personal muy amable y desayuno excelente.
