Room a little based but at the price, great value

The accommodation at Ever Green Mount overlooks a forested valley and the hill where the Ella Gap is situated. Views from the balcony are beautiful. In the distance you can see a mountain waterfall and the train as it comes into Ella. The room is tastefully decorated but relatively small. We expected this given the position on a steep hillside. Room was spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and breakfast delicious. Access by car was via a very narrow and steep road. After the first trip up we met our driver at the main road. Anusha the owner was kind enough to drive our luggage down to the road in his tuk tuk on our last day. To get to Ella township you need to walk up a fairly steep hill however, there were usually tuk tuk drivers at the main road junction. Walk home was easy.

The location, views from balcony, breakfast and overall attention to detail were outstanding.

That’s was stunning! And room, and view, and hosts, and facilities- everything was perfect! I really want to back this place again!

So good we came back again! Four years on and it's still our favourite spot in Sri Lanka. Breakfast on this balcony is amazing, no other breakfast in Sri Lanka comes close! Giant bed, comfortable room, clean bathroom, great location away from the hustle and bustle (but not far to walk in too). Perfect!

The hosts were superb - really friendly and accommodating! For just a few hundred LKR they could take you to and from the central area in Ella by tuk tuk. The most amazing thing about the stay however was the view - absolutely breathtaking!

The toilet seat could probably be switched out, and the water pressure in the shower isn’t the best. No A/C, but the fan works surprisingly well.

Anusha and his wife were very pleasant people, they accommodate well. And the view is simply stunning with sunrise and night stargazing. Its very cold at night and great breakfast they serve. Will stay here again.
