Ocean Breeze

A stunning haven by the sea! Every room has sliding glass doors for guests to see, hear, breathe, and sometimes even taste the refreshing ocean waves. A short path takes you down to natural pools (several steps to get in) and there is also a long ramp that goes directly into the ocean. Rooms range in sizes. We had one of the small rooms, and it felt plenty big enough for us, especially when you can open your doors to the ocean air. Chairs and tables are just outside, too. The beds are comfortable and the shower has excellent water pressure. Our room had a short step down into a standing shower (shower chair included). If you’d prefer a large bath tub, go for room #1 (the largest, with views of both the ocean and the mountain). The central room serves as a combined lounge, kitchen, and dining area. Fast fiber internet, a lovingly decorated sofa, windows to the ocean, and all the coffee and snacks you can want make this a beautiful place to eat breakfast or work/study. Breakfast centers delicious, locally produced food, and throughout the day guests are welcome to help themselves to coffee, tea, juices, fruits, and snacks in the refrigerator. What truly makes Ocean Breeze special? Dalila and Brian are the most wonderful hosts, full of love and enthusiasm for their home and island. They will share recommendations, stories, and listen to your tales of adventure. They are disability-inclusive, welcoming my Seeing Eye dog. If you have accessibility questions or any questions at all, ask them. They both speak English and Portuguese, and are constantly growing fluency in other languages with their many guests from France, Austria, and other places.

The hardest part was leaving! We miss Ocean Breeze!

Die Lage ist einmalig, direkt am Meer, man schläft mit dem Rauschen ein und wacht damit auf. Delila und Brian sind einmalig, so herzlich und liebevoll, man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Dass das Waschbecken sehr klein ist, nimmt man gern in Kauf. Das Restaurant Stones ist eine Minute entfernt, das Essen ist sehr gut, wir waren 2x dort.

Great waterfront location, modern and cozy. Staff, Brian and Dalila, we're ultra friendly and eager to please.

Short 2-night stay, wish had more time to explore and swim.

Dalila und Brian sind unglaublich nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Die Lage war sehr angenehm. Die Ausstattung war einfach aber sehr sauber.

Niente, tutto perfetto

Dalila is a great host, she took care of us in a great way. We did not have a car and she helped us giving us information about taxi drivers. She also reserved restaurants for us, which is a must in Azores in high-season. She gave us local tips and was always open to shift the breakfast time earlier, in case of needed. The view and sound is amazing and there is a restaurant close by, which is really great.
