Beds & Friends Hostel Mactan with Pool and Bar

The room was very clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room cool, the location is close to the airport, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The hook in the shower was broken, there was no soap or bottled water provided, and a floor mat in the shower area would’ve helped prevent slipping. Wi-Fi also didn’t work well at first, but eventually connected.

Good location

No elevator , no Food and Drinks available . The pool have nice bar but nobody there and no Drinks and Food .

Next to the airport and excellent value.

The pool has cloudy water, we wanted to use it but it was not very tempting.

The hotel was fairly close to the airport and could be walked in about 40 minutes. The reception area and outside area looked fairly modern.

All rather disappointing. Beware of the pool as we were excited to go in after a stressful day of travelling, but when we arrived there the water was very cloudy and definitely stagnant, with no signs of chlorine or water jets, so for our health we decided not to go in, so this needs sorting! The room was extremely stuffy with next to no airflow, and the air on buttons did not work so we had to go down to reception and he said to look for a remote as hidden away the buttons do not work. Sadly the air con sounded like a jet plane taking off and was right above the bed, and it was very dirty so I was nervous about it dripping in the night, but thankfully it didn’t. The shower was also useless and we could not get the normal (non foot tap) to work at all, and the bathroom flooded from the excessive foot tap pressure. It was very confusing as there were about four dials and none worked properly so this was very disappointing not to have a working shower. It seemed like it was only opened a few years ago so the fact facilities didn’t work as they should have done was extremely disappointing.
