the owner was very friendly and welcoming the main area has great views to Piton Du Furnace and the entire valley around the room has a twin bed and a double deck bed for kids, the bathroom is functional there is a jacuzzi outside for public use

Breakfast could have been a bit more creative there is no place in the bathroom to place essentials putting a shelf or a small cabinet would be very useful

Our stay was really nice ! The room was very comfy and had a good size, the bed was also very comfortable. The pictures don't do justice to the place! Is a very good base to hike the Grand Bassin or Pitón de la Fournaise (is like 50 min drive to the parking where starts the hike. The road is quiet good, so it could even done during the night if you want to start your hike early and avoid staying in the Volcan Gite). Remember to book your dinner in advance! Our dinner had very nice starters, soup and the main dishes were shrimp and chicken curries! Dessert, punch and wine included, really worth it ! Breakfast is also offered starting at 07:00 in the morning.

Location close to the volcano, new and clean.

No dinner served and no possibility to use the kitchen.
