Une mention spéciale pour l'accueil exemplaire de notre hôtesse, chaleureuse et avec le bon équilibre entre discrétion et disponibilité. L'emplacement, non loin des départs de rando pour Mafate ; à proximité de la route, et donc pratique d'accès en voiture. Suffisamment en contrebas et hors du centre de Grand Ilet pour être au calme. L'environnement, la vue sur la verdure. Rustique et chaleureux ; espaces communs spacieux et variés : tables en intérieur et en extérieur. Propre. Bien vu : le coffre à chaussures près de l'entrée pour se déchausser, mettre les chaussures à l'abri sans les emporter dans les chambres. Diner bon et copieux. Frigo à disposition des voyageurs.

Rien : on est tout à fait sur les standards des gites de randonnée dans les cirques de La Réunion. Si on voulait faire encore mieux : peut-être quelques assises plus confortables en intérieur et extérieur, pour se poser et bouquiner ? Et un jus frais au lieu du jus en brique pour le petit dej.

Il est idéalement placé à proximité de l'arrêt de bus de la ligne 83. Il se trouve à environ 3 km du début du GR1 menant au col de la Fourche. Le gîte est très agréable et propre. L'hôte est très accueillante.
