Janet is a lovely gracious host. she made our short stay so memorable. Her gardens are amazing and delicious!

Breakfast included with stay, the owner was nice and easy to communicate with and made us feel welcome with a personal message on a blackboard welcoming us . Nice environment inside modern and loved the bathroom for us to use. Outdoors is nice with having a lot of plants and a chicken 🐔 out there too. They had all the products I needed to use in the bathroom during my stay in the guest room drawers and had a couple of needed products set up in the bathroom.

It would've been excellent to have all the necessary items readily available on display, e.g. in the shower, conditioner and face wash, as I was caught out the night I stayed and used the shower not realising till I was part way through my shower a couple items weren't available 😅, thankfully everything was accessible in the guestroom, so I could use it in my next shower there and the owner was fine with me getting out and using what was available and required from the guest bathroom drawer to meet my needs 😊. Not being made aware via the Booking.com site prior to booking that another guest was going to also be staying that night as my partner likes to have as much space for ourselves as possible when staying somewhere. I was informed via text after the booking was made. No T.V. in the guest room to have that option and privacy away from the host and her partner and guest to just watch some programmes or series or movies with my partner 😊.

We felt very welcome by Janet, who has decorated her home very tastefully. Everything was perfect - use of the guest lounge and the beautiful garden, delicious breakfast with quality ingredients, tea and coffee making facilities, and comfortable bed.

Magnolia House was a beautiful place to stay. We spent two nights there during our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely clean house, home from home with a garden that we were lucky enough to see and enjoy. Janet also went above and beyond, not only picked us up from the station but, took us the airport to collect our hire car, first host i have ever had to do something like that, so thanks Janet.

Didn't like is not fair, but personally would prefer a harder bed and share bathroom could be an issue, but again we were the only guest so all good.
