Great views and staff very helpful and social

Needs some updates for it to be a great place to stay and explore the island

I can’t like anything at an accommodation that canceled on me three days out and refused to provide a refund saying it’s out of her hands, knowing it was nonrefundable on my end

Terrible accommodation. Host messaged through app three days before intended stay to say she could no longer accommodate, but refused to cancel on her end or offer a refund. Made no effort to assist. Island is not big and due to tv filming and other holiday crowds there were no alternative options. Host was rude in communication.

Easy walk to and from any restaurant or shop and coffee shops. Short walk to the exceptional hike. Cleanliness and respectful hospitality from the wonderful hosts.

I like everything.

Staying with Marie Jo and Ludo was an absolute joy! They’re the kindest hosts—thoughtful, warm, and always happy to help. Their lovely home is full of charm and comfort, with the most stunning view of the ocean. It felt like a little slice of France by the sea. I felt completely at home from the moment I arrived. Marie Jo is an excellent host and they run a very nice guesthouse. The room has one of the best views of the island with a view over all the city. European style breakfast was lovely each morning and the dining room has a great view and the hosts can give recommendations about what to eat and where on the island.

I wish I was able to stay longer, but I had to catch my ferry back!

Chez Marie Jo was exactly as described: comfortable spacious room with shared bathroom. The room, bathroom, and hotel overall were immaculately clean. Amenities in the room were limited (eg no kettle), but the host offered us tea upon our arrival in late afternoon. We stayed out of season and so, I expect, received rather more individual attention than in-season guests might.

EVERYTHING could have been better: Bed- was an old thin mattress on a piece of plywood six inches off the floor - very uncomfortable; Toilet - was only three feet from the bed!!! no door, no air freshener; Stairs to get to room - quite steep and very bad lighting, dangerous situation; Breakfast - only offered 1 croissant and 1 piece of bread, butter/jam, glass of juice & a coffee -NOT what we consider a full breakfast; TV - only French stations, could not watch; Bedding - only 2 pillows, no extra blankets, thin towels, towels only replaced once, sheets not changed; NO toiletries (lotion, shampoo, soap,) we think there was body wash in the makeshift shower, hard to tell, no hairdryer; thin wall - could hear conversations through the walls, not very private; Hosts had very limited English so no point in asking about things to do or places to go.
