Central locations and good sized rooms

We weren’t told that the hotel is right in the middle of a sports bar. So there was loud noise at night - and the noise of glasses being tipped into rubbish bins. And then early in the morning there was the loud noise of the glass bottles being collected by the rubbish men.

Location

My room was great. It was very clean and well appointed. The light breakfast was just right to start the day. The staff were very professional and very friendly. The hotel is located right on Duval Street so I was right in the center of things.

The steps leading to my room were a little daunting, but since this is an old building it was totally understandable. The hotel also noted very clearly that this was the case as well.

The Staff was always keeping the property clean and comfortable. Breakfast was average. The room was decorated nicely and the bathroom had personal items available for use. The Pool was small, but well maintained and had beautiful plants, surrounding it. There’s a Sundeck with lounge chairs, about 10 steps up from the pool. Friendly, helpful Staff in a very clean environment.

The NOISE and huge flight of concrete stairs leading to my Room, were awful. A Restaurant is connected to this hotel and it’s super LOUD at night, until about midnight. You are provided with Earplugs, on a table next to the bed. I’m 65 years old and struggled trying to get my luggage up to my Room. A Restaurant Guest ran to assist me!! Thank goodness! When I Checked Out a Staff Member carried my luggage downstairs.

Continental breakfast was a little underwhelming, no loungers by the pool.

wonderful staff.. great location for fun... In the midst of Duvall street. Excellent food at restaurant
