The Grand Idyllwild Lodge

Very good lodge. Nice breakfast. Good location. Lovely room. Nice and quiet

Driving up, the lodge looked calm and relaxing. The staff at check-in was really friendly. The only downside was that the shower was not very clean (sticky walls). The rooms fridge was leaking. Also, after a day of enjoying the small town of Idyllwild, I wanted to watch some TV. However, it did not work.

Nice location and facilities.

Initially we got placed in the ambiance room. We went searching for dinner and discovered during our dinner that it was urgent we contact the facility. Wi-Fi isn’t the best in the area so we didn’t discover what was going on until we returned . We were placed in the wrong room and moved to the getaway room. Needless to say we were disappointed. It was our anniversary weekend and the ambiance room came with a nice tub. Management could have offered us at least a bottle of wine for the mistake. The getaway room was nice but the toilet didn’t work very well and it didn’t come with a nice tub. I am sure we will return to the lodge. Despite the mix up we loved the place. We will probably return.

The staff were outstanding! What more can I say. It’s that simple. They went up and beyond in taking care of me. Thank you!

Beautiful property close to town. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Bed is comfortable. A very helpful front desk. Romantic fireplace and a fire pit. We will be back again. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Everything! But we especially loved the environment around the hotel and especially the distance to the town.
