RidgeWalk Treehouse

RidgeWalk is absolutely beautiful – it is a cozy house perched on the ridgeline above Angel Fire (elevation of 9,200 feet) with views of Eagle Nest Lake and the valley below. The vistas are nothing short of stunning. If you are lucky (like we were) you will see elk, deer, hawks, and small animals such as chipmunks, rabbits, and squirrels. Kitchenette is nicely equipped with refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, and dishes/flatware; however, there is no stovetop or induction burner. There is a separate bedroom on the ground floor with a comfortable queen bed (with lovely linens) and a sleeping loft with two additional beds. We note that the ladder to the loft is fairly steep, and not for the faint of heart – although we are sure that kids would love it! Access to the house is down a series of about 20 steps from where vehicles are parked – not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. There were lovely baked treats in the freezer and communication with the host was excellent. All information to access the house was received well in advance and Nanci was truly wonderful in working with us since our travel plans had changed slightly. We could not have asked for more accommodating hosts! The town of Angel Fire is just over 3 miles away with shopping, restaurants, and gas. Everything that you need!

The house has limited kitchen facilities – a microwave, electric skillet and a toaster oven - no stovetop, dishwasher or laundry facilities. This was clearly stated in the listing, but guests should be aware that there is a lack of a few conveniences that one might expect in a property of this caliber.

The host was very generous in amenities even providing delicious cookies and breakfast burritos amongst other food and drinks. Location was astonishingly beautiful. Saw lots of wild life.

It is a great property. The owner is sooo sweet and helpful!

The driveway is very steep and angled... hard to acces The heater is at a weird spot and blows into the bedroom. This makes it hot in the bedroom.

The house was very clean and had great views. They really go out of their way to leave items in the house that make your stay easier.

The only feedback I had was make sure you have snow tires or an all wheel vehicle if you are traveling during the winter. We had difficulty getting my Tahoe to the house one evening with the road conditions.

The peace and quiet was exceptional. Along with the unforgettable pristine views of Angel Fire Valley. Spectacular views from the porch. Binoculars were provided. The stars in the night sky were unbelievable! Perfect stay that’s close access to everything you want to see around the “Enchanted Circle.” One of my BEST vacations in America…..seriously! Loved it!

First I thought cooking situation could be better. A little awkward in the beginning. Once we discovered the excellent barbecue pit that was a game changer. Easy, easy to use. We made incredible burgers and we were more excited to use it and the heavy cooking smell stayed outside. We did eat out a lot. So, mainly breakfast and some dinner time there. Breakfast was provided: eggs, milk, cereals, etc.. It was great! Parking was a little challenging.

Everything! It’s in the perfect spot you feel totally secluded but can be in town in a couple of minutes. Head to red river for the day or Taos no problem just a short beautiful scenic drive.

Nothing it was perfect

Location, nice and private. Very cozy and clean rental. Owner was there when needed, but left us alone. Excellent hospitality. Amazing views. Easy place to forget about your worries and relax.

The driveway was tough to turn around in and get out of.
