Glacier Creek Lodging

Jan is an open and friendly hostess engaged in the comfort and well-being of her guests. We stayed in the spacious master bedroom with comfortable bed and pillows, sofa, microwave, small fridge, and agreeable, pleasing décor. A private entrance leads to the deck which extends around two sides of the first floor. The master bathroom offers a long sink with two basins, (and a great liquid soap -- Mrs. Meyer’s made with olive oil and aloe vera). The walk-in closet with a small chest of drawers provides plenty of space for hanging your clothes. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are large and airy with lots of light from windows on three sides and a wonderful view of the mountain through windows that stretch to a vaulted ceiling. The dining room table provides a comfortable space for meeting and talking with other guests from all over the world at breakfast, dinner, or during the day. We appreciated the delicious granola, good coffee, fresh half-and-half, excellent yogurt (Chobani), bananas and lovely blueberries provided at breakfast. The house is set in nature surrounded by forest. A short dirt drive leads from the dirt road to private parking on the lawn in front of the house. You enjoy nature and peace a comfortable drive away from the hustle and bustle of touristic Seward. If puffins are on your bucket list, spend all the time you want with them at the Alaska Sea Life Center: wonderful! Many thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful house, lots of amenities even in our room including - microwave, mini fridge, TV, ceiling fan, large bathroom and wardrobe space. Loved the private entrance to the room from the balcony. Great for avoiding shoes in the clean house

Loved the location and Jan was the best hostess. Our room was spacious and very clean. We stayed in the king room so we had our own entrance off the deck. The breakfast that was offered had something for everyone.

Jan was very welcoming. We had a very comfortable room and there a good selection of food to make our breakfast. It was a little out of town but quiet and peaceful.

We had a very good stay with Jan. Breakfast must be made by yourself but everything you need for a good breakfast was present. You need a car to go to the center.

Friendly host. Very clean,comfortable, and spacious accomodation in room #2 downstairs with our own entrance. Comfortable bed, some nice chairs, and well lit room with windows and shades. Beautiful kitchen setup with well labeled cabinets and we were were able to make breakfast with the provided supplies or eat more simply with cereal, yogart, and fruit. The host lives in the property and was available whenever needed. The property is located a short ten minute drive to Kenai National Park. Wonderful stay!
