River ' s Edge Inn

My biggest issue is that while the hosts were cordial and friendly, there was no prior knowledge to our booking that they would actually be staying downstairs the entire duration of our stay. There was absolutely no privacy during our stay. I also observed that when we arrived, our private bath had 2 robes (AS ADVERTISED) I then observed when we returned later that evening, one of the robes had mysteriously disappeared, never to return...WEIRD!! The room we stayed in also seemed to have quite a few stink bugs, which became very annoying after awhile. The light on the night stand turned into a strobe light. Also, pretty much every dresser drawer in our room was filled with other clothes. We were able to find one drawer in the closet to unpack in. Just pointing these things out because I think that they are important to both the guest and proprietor for the future.Just wish things were a little more clear, and executed a little bit better for the benefit of the guests.

Accommodations were wonderful! Just like being at home. Tom was an exceptional host and the breakfasts were delightful. The view along the New River was beautiful and peaceful.

The room was tad chilly in the evening for my wife. Other than that, no complaints.

Our stay was wonderful! We were in the area for a wedding and only picked them because they offered the best price in the area, and I am glad that we did. Tom worked with us through our last-minute plan changes and very late check-in. The house itself is just lovely and decorated with lots of cute artifacts from France. More importantly, the breakfast is prepared with the produce they grow themselves, which was delicious. We were able to sit by the river after breakfast and it was a serene experience overall. It was very well kept and clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I cannot speak about location as we were there for a wedding and didn't visit anywhere nearby.
