Lucky Spot Beach Bungalow

We've stayed in this area the previous years but never at this place. We had a great stay, the team are super friendly, helpful, and available. The area is remote, special and definitely worth stopping at for a few days

The last few years we've come to this area, there is increased fish farming, trash on the beach, and jellyfish. All of these things can be avoided if you walk further down the beach, but this whole bay is changing, unfortunately

Excellent glorious view of the beach (we were in the deluxe bungalow upstairs facing the beach). Great and varied food and drink options. Free breakfast included choice of about 7 options, plus vegan options, plus orange juice and coffee. Right on the beach, with other beach cafes (in the evening anyway) nearby. Sand is incredibly soft, water a lovely turquoise colour and clear. A bit of rubbish gets washed up on the beach but generally it's very clean. Such a beautiful place!!! Not many westerners take the time to come here, so it's like your own little slice of quiet paradise. Beach is swimmable, plus lovely walks along the water. At about 5pm all the locals come down to the water to swim, which is a lovely atmosphere. Really friendly, lots of families and big smiles! Because of the afternoon breeze, it didn't seem as oppressively humid as other parts of Vietnam in June. Very pleasant temperatures, unless you walked away from the beach to explore the village streets (which was fun too).

Just be aware, that in the early afternoon (at the time of year we were there, anyway, which was June), the wind picks up, but then it dies down again late afternoon. So don't worry if it's really windy when you arrive. Floor was a tiny bit sandy inside when we arrived, but it might have been the wind blowing sand in when we arrived. Otherwise the room and bedding etc were very clean. Watch out if there are jellyfish in the water. You will spot them - about 10-12 cm across with brown dots on top. My partner got stung on the ankle and it was red, painful, itchy and blisters for several days. Just find a clear patch of water where they haven't washed in. (Or that was our experience in June, anyway).

Beautiful spot, super friendly staff, quiet and relaxing. The restaurant had a varied and interesting menu. From our spotless and comfortable bedroom we enjoyed the most amazing view

Can’t say enough great things about this place. The staff are extremely helpful , happy to help, and so kind . The rooms are clean and as presented in pictures . The water here is clean stunning teal and gorgeous sand . Beach is clean at front of stay but a become littered where fishing activity is - this is expected . There a few shops for basic goods right near by . The food here is very very good . I must tip my hat to the kitchen ladies who work very hard and provide some of the best meals I’ve had at a stay. The restaurant next to the property is also very good . We will be back ! As a seasoned Vietnam traveller ( 4 years ) this is probably the best you can find for quiet and relaxed not too isolated but just enough . Thank you to lucky spot for three great nights !
