The Signature Venue and Guesthouse

The staff was great from the get-go! They showed us the rooms very neat and clean and were very accommodating. We were even able to exchange 1 of the rooms! It's a family run business, and they were great! Besides the lack of water due to rand water issues, they surely did they best to find water for all the guests everyday during our stay.

Things took a turn for the worst when the Owner of the guesthouse decided to put her hand and fight with 2 of us! We booked for 2 days. The night before the checkout, we got awake around 1am to commotion and loud voices, only find the owner and boyfriend pulling and pushing 2 of our friends out of the guests and trying to kick them out. The rest of us intervene to find out what the problem was and the best solution.... back story( when we arrived we welcomed by the owers son and the our staff members. She did not introduce herself to us! The son letvus use the conferenceroom later that evening due to bad weather. She didn't approve of that!... but did not tell us this. The next day later that evening a group(5) of new guests and 2 of our friends due to the weather again decided to sit and set up in the conference room again as it was still open) the owner woke to see that the conference room was being used again and this flipped her off and came into the room shout and swearing 🤬 and the guests asking them who the Fu%k told you could use this room. Get the Fu%k out of here! When told we weren't aware that we couldn't use it anymore, she got angrier, grabbed guest by their clothes, and slapped the other 1. Called some of her neighbors and security response to try and kick out the 2 friends that she put her hands on. She eventually called the police on all of us and told her to leave she property and that we are no longer welcomed here. When the police arrived, they listened to both sides of the story, to which they informed her she was wrong for what she did. If she wants to kick everyone out, she needs to refund them so they find a place to book elsewhere. To which her responded was that: Brookings.com took the money and she doesn't have it and we should call them to make a refund request and not her! When questioned, where are they gonna go at this time?

There was a place for us available to lay our heads down and rest & the swimming pool was really nice.

The beds were really not nice. There was still previous guests' food in our microwave when we opened it. They really need to do something about the stairs going up to the 1st floor bedrooms, because it is really really flimsy, broken and sketchy. The shower curtain fell down while we were in the shower.

It was really nice and a good stay

No hot water to bath and the pool was dirty so we couldn’t swim

WiFi glitches throughout. Fridge did not work properly. Caused my food to go bad

There was asked if i traveled for work (YES) as well was there asked what time I'll be booking in(TIME WAS SELECTED) and because your staff leaves at 8PM. I never booked in because they didn't accommodate my stay.
