Breaking Dawn

The location is in the middle of nowhere and I felt unsafe to stay there with my family .

As soon as we drove in the appearance looked unkempt and dirty everywhere. Theres a home made pool was brown with dirty water. On entering after a shoddy and rude reception from a lady we we taken inside. The house was dark and dusty and smelled of unwashed linen. The place had not been dusted and sanitized. Terrible!

No DSTV, dirt bedding, tiny Bed, bunk Bed very high, overall below 3 stars for me.

Location was good and quiet

As all South Africans the loadshedding was not pleasant

Comfy beds in a clean room. The temperature fell to about 11 oC in the evening when we arrived - this seems unseasonally cold for December. Extra blankets on the beds were appreciated. Quiet town.

There are water restrictions at present, so there was almost no water during night. We arrived quite late at night (8:45pm) during loadshedding. Almost no one in this town has a solar light in their house or garden, it was very dark. The water restrictions meant that it took several minutes to fill the kettle. The water flow seemed stronger in the morning, but we had given up on the idea of showers when we discovered this and were already preparing to leave.

Very friendly. Also enjoyed sitting sroind the pool with other guests. Rooms are very clean. Everything you need for an overnight stay.

The guesthouse is perfect, but the location (town) is dodgy. We did not feel very safe outside of the guesthouse. Many beggars and people loitering in the streets.

Accommodation was clean, picture showed a pool but there was no pool. Area doesn’t have any restaurants and shops and quite distant from basic shops.

We stayed overnight on our way to Baviaans kloof. I am giving them a 10 rating because there was a big yard for our two Weimaraners, they were friendly and accommodating with our dogs.
