"A great stop over over enroute to St Lucia"

An excellent stop off for the night. Onsite restaurant was fantastic, and all the staff were wonderfully friendly and happy 😊

The door to the bathroom was a folding one that offered little privacy or soundproofing but not too much of an issue as only a one night stay.

The breakfast was fantastic. The owner was very nice and friendly.

Ants all over the bathroom and no hot water. Toilet broke.

"Friendly owners .. clean rooms .. and bonus restaurant on site."

The owners were very helpful with directions and concerned that we had managed to find them. The restaurant was on site and had a lovely atmosphere.. as we left on Sunday they do not open but gave us a breakfast box to take away.

Not much to like, as we were only there for one night we didn’t venture out.

The rooms are neat and clean and quite spacious and have everything you need, including TV/free Wi-Fi/fridge. The facility is right at the main road but still quiet. Lovely Charlene just became my new favourite host out of all my travels through South Africa as she and her staff make Piet Retief a worthy stopover. Breakfast and dinner at the adjacent Mama Mia restaurant were as exquisite as it gets.
