Fantastic breakfast and wonderful surroundings - comfortable and relaxed

A truly special place, built with love, creativity, and soul. Tucked among the trees with sweeping Lowveld hill views, the cottage feels authentically African — earthy and colourful tones, handcrafted wooden details. After a week deep in Kruger, spending one night here was the perfect way to ease back into civilisation. Breakfast is fresh and rich, best enjoyed watching the morning light roll over the hills. Phillip, the host, was wonderfully welcoming and steered us toward 64 Coolmore for dinner, a fantastic tip we are so grateful for. More than just a place to sleep, the warmth you will remember.

We zijn hiet een nacht geweest, maar hadden prima meerdere kunnen blijven. Bij aankomst kregen we een betere kamer omdat de accomodatie niet was uitgeboekt. De accomodatie zelf was prachtig gelegen met een geweldig uitzicht vanuit je woonkamer, keuken en zelfs bed. Het onbijt was heerlijk met wat fruit, eieren, yoghurt en muesli en brood met verschillende soorten beleg. Het beste was de gastheer, deze was attent, aardig, helpend, maar absoluut niet opdringerig. Het kijken naar de kunst van zowel de gastheer als zijn familie was leuk en bijzonder.

We stayed at Eloff in the 3 bed house as a treat for our last night. It was a shame not to be there multiple nights. The kitchen was excellent - great sharp knives, the outdoor veranda space was stellar and we were treated to a 7hr intracloud lightning storm off in the distance which made everything extra special. We didnt use the pool, but it looked great! Phillip was a great host, and we loved his dogs. Fudge came to visit with us and stayed all night until we sent him home to bed :) Great breakfast in the morning, and afterwards we had time to check out the gallery and workshop. Really couldnt have picked a better spot as a send off.

I found the front door a little difficult to keep shut, but it wasnt a big deal....we wouldnt have had an evening with Fudge otherwise ha ha

Wohnung ist etwas dunkel und bei kühlem Wetter ungemütlich

The owner made us the present to give us the bigest appartement ! When we opened the door we felt immediately in love with the appartement. The view was amazing, the decoration, the history of the house... each one had his room. All is lovely and confortable. The breakfast was delicious.

We had a wonderful stay at Elof Guest House. Phillip was an excellent host and made a truly delicious breakfast each morning, which was a highlight of our visit. When the guest house unexpectedly lost electricity, he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable by arranging and moving us to another nearby guest lodge. His hospitality and willingness to help made the experience smooth and stress-free. We really appreciated the care he showed and would happily recommend Elof Guest House to others.
