Location is great and views are exceptional. Breakfast was awesome, host is friendly

the water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but the host did make me aware when I arrived. Sure it will be sorted before the next gust arrives.

Everything exceeded our expectations. Philip is a hands on host and very friendly. He is also an excellent cook and we were spoilt to lovely cooked breakfasts every morning. We took our dog with us and the dogs on the property were very friendly. The property itself is gorgeous and felt like we were in this bush. Highly recommend staying Eloff Guesthouse.

Het huis voelt echt als een paradijsje. Het ligt op een steenworp afstand van het huis van de host, maar dat zie je niet; het is prachtig begroeid en het uitzicht aan de achterkant van het huis is helemaal vrij. Daardoor voelt het heel exclusief en bijzonder om er te zijn. Het is ruimtelijk, zowel binnen als buiten en de inrichting is ontzettend stijlvol. Iedere slaapkamer heeft een eigen (prachtige) badkamer met zowel een douche binnen als buiten. Echt een aanrader om de buitendouche te proberen! Echt een fijne plek als je tot rust wil komen, bv. na 5 dagen intensief safari te hebben beleef rondom Kruger zoals wij dat hebben gedaan. Er liggen goed en gezellige faciliteiten in de buurt waar Philip je tips voor kan geven. Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre zouden wij absoluut aanraden, zowel voor de (artistieke) winkeltjes als restaurants. Bezoek ook zijn eigen gallery eens dichtbij de gate.Het ontbijt van Philip is écht supergoed (en we zijn best kritisch :-)); heerlijke yoghurt, vers fruit en jam, heerlijk brood en nog een Engels ontbijt voor de liefhebber. Philip is sowieso een hele fijne host, waaraan je alles kunt vragen, goede tips heeft en - wat ons betreft - leuke humor!

This guest house was truly exceptional. The owner grew up in a family of artists and you can feel their creative touch in every corner. The decor is original and full of character, nothing feels standard or mass-produced. Every detail reflects thought, personality, and a genuine love for beauty. The owner, who welcomed us himself, was incredibly kind and helpful. He made us feel at home right away and shared plenty of great suggestions for where to eat and what to see in the area, which made our experience even richer. I only wish we had arrived a bit earlier to enjoy the stunning pool that overlooks the valley. It’s a peaceful and breathtaking spot, perfect for relaxing. There’s a short off-road stretch to get there, but don’t let that put you off. It’s quick and easy, and once you arrive, you’ll feel like you’ve found a little hidden paradise. Breakfast was another highlight. It was tasty and served on a balcony with a spectacular view—an unforgettable way to start the day. If you’re looking for a stop in the area, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s one of those rare stays that leaves a lasting impression and truly exceeds expectations.
