L' Angolo dei poeti - Bed and Breakfast

The room was modern and comfortable with space for everything for our family of four even the baby’s stroller. Also very clean and nice bathroom. The owner was very helpful with us. We needed an iron and when we asked for it we were given immediately.

The breakfast. I was surprised that the breakfast was typical Italian with croissant and coffee because I didn’t read the description of the property carefully. Also it was in a coffee shop near the apartment. Anyway the croissants were delicious. Also check out was at 10 am which is too early but we checked out at 10.30 and there weren’t any problems.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Weg in die Altstadt ca. 20 Minuten, Weg zum Bahnhof ca. 30 Minuten jeweils zu Fuß. Zimmer sind in Ordnung. Meins war der ersten Etage mit Fenster zur Straße - ziemlich laut, aber noch okay. Italienisches Frühstück (Croissant und Kaffee) in einer nahen Bar, war auch okay.

La camera singola assegnatami (a quanto pare l’unica della struttura) era molto piccola, situata al piano strada e soprattutto affacciata direttamente sulla via, per cui i rumori erano estremamente percepibili. Si trova inoltre molto vicino al portone d’ingresso della struttura, il che comportava un ulteriore disturbo costante. Considerando che il mio era un viaggio di lavoro, questa situazione — in particolare il rumore — ha avuto effetti spiacevoli, incidendo negativamente sul riposo e sulla qualità complessiva del soggiorno. L’host Maurizio è stato gentile e mi ha procurato dei tappi per le orecchie; tuttavia, la situazione è rimasta poco piacevole. Al mio arrivo, inoltre, il porta asciugamani era molto instabile: essendo l’unico disponibile per tre asciugamani — già di per sé difficili da sistemare in modo adeguato per l’asciugatura — bastava appoggiarne uno perché cedesse immediatamente. L’host, come già indicato tra gli aspetti positivi, è intervenuto per sistemarlo. Tuttavia, a seguito della riparazione, la stanza è rimasta piena di piccole molle. In generale, il bagno è funzionale, anche se molto piccolo. Risulta però piuttosto sgradevole la presenza evidente di calcare intorno alla doccia, accompagnata da un leggero odore di umido. La prima sera, facendo la doccia, l’acqua era piuttosto fredda; ho quindi contattato l’host per aumentare la temperatura. Dopo la mia segnalazione, mi ha chiesto di poter entrare in camera per un controllo: pensavo dovesse intervenire sulla regolazione, ma si è limitato ad aprire il rubinetto per verificare la stessa problematica, ovvero che l’acqua non diventasse mai sufficientemente calda. La caldaia si trovava infatti su un altro piano. Questo è stato l’unico comportamento che non ho particolarmente apprezzato; per il resto, l’host si è dimostrato gentile e attento.

A clean , modern property . Geographically, 15 minutes walk from Bari centre, 20 minute taxi drive from airport (30€). The bakery staff were super friendly for breakfast. Welcome was fine with good information. And host booked a taxi to the airport for us without problem.

Situated on a very busy road, noise all night. Property was not at all insulated and so we heard other guests at all hours of the night as well as road noise. Water pressure and temperature of shower could have been better.

Beds were comfortable.

The breakfast was included but was provided in a bar nearby the B&B. It only included 1 hot beverage and 1 pastry. The hall of the B&B smelled of cigarettes as well as some of the pillows in the room. Water for showering was not very warm, especially in the morning.
