The Crown Lodges

Comfortable bed. Quiet room, accessible for our wheelchair. Sunday roast in the pub was excellent, and there was a nice choice of beers and wines

The room furnishings were sparse. Bedside rugs would have been appreciated, especially in winter. The lighting was harsh. The bathroom was accessible, but the shower flooded the floor almost straight away, and there was no squeegee mop to help it drain away. It was cold when we arrived but the staff readily provided a radiator. No cooked breakfast on Mondays and Tuesdays, though we could have had a continental breakfast delivered (we didn't)

My second visit and they remember me,never had to mention my name and bar staff remember my drink, as a landlord myself this ticked all the right boxes for repeat business

Heating in room very bad

Place was nice and clean and well presented.

Left side of bed had no access to light in night, so either wake partner or stub toe in the dark. A side lamp would cover. Great shower but no soap dispenser or anywhere to put soap/flannel etc. Only one chair. Needs towel rails and hooks on back of bathroom door.

Clean and comfortable accommodation.

No sugar with tea making facilities, squeaky bathroom door. Very expensive breakfast option.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Room was clean and bed comfortable

Didn't like all the noise AFTER 12 midnight, All he shouting and swearing at 5am in the morning, banging on doors.

Staff and owners are very professional and friendly, they go above and beyond, accommodation is clean and comfortable and the food is amazing.

Nothing not to like

The lodges were clean and comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly. The location is really nice and if you like walking it has plenty of foot paths to explore the area. I would recommend a midweek stay rather than a weekend especially, if the barn has a function booked

There was a function in the barn and the rest of the lodges were hired by some of the people attending the party in the barn. Between 12 - 5 am some of the guests were very noisy, drunk and aggressive so as a result we were unable to get much sleep. Such a shame as I would have given top marks if it wasn't for the very noisy and aggressive guests. If management was able to control the noise level it would have been a nicer experience. It will probably be better to stay mid week when the barn is not in use.
