Glorious Nature Inn

An erster Stelle: die Hosts! Wahnsinnig nette, warme Menschen. Die Kommunikation vor und während meines Aufenthalts war super unkompliziert. Die Aussicht von den Zimmern (die oberen beiden jedenfalls, das untere habe ich nicht gesehen) ist wunderschön. Mir ging es während meines Aufenthalts nicht gut, was aufgrund der tollen Aussicht, der Sauberkeit und (nochmals) der zuvorkommenden Gastfreundschaft von Nayomi und ihren Eltern zu verdanken ist. Ich würde immer wieder hier übernachten.

Man sollte sich darüber im Klaren sein, dass es ein Stück aus Ella raus ist - ich habe mich dafür bewusst entschieden; wer aber eher Lust auf Backpacker-Vibes hat, wird hier nicht so happy sein.

This is an absolutely beautiful place with an unfettered view for 180° of the mountains, a waterfall + jungle and agricultural Fields. The pictures do not do it justice. The host is super friendly and responsive and the staff at the accommodation are wonderful. A particular shout out to Arul for all his hard work to make our stay so enjoyable. The breakfast every morning is varied and served on your private balcony. Doesn't get much better than this!

There is nothing we did not like about this place and heartily recommend it. However, there was a few things that were a little unclear to me that I thought other travelers might find a benefit in clarifying . 1. Room number two has the most expansive view but it is a queen bed. Not a king bed as listed. If you want or need a king bed room number three has a king bed. The view is still spectacular but not quite as nice. 2. There is no washing machine as listed in amenities, so if you need a 2-hour turnaround that might be a problem. However, the wonderful staff sent our laundry out in a 1-day turnaround at a very reasonable price, so otherwise it's no big deal. 3. Although it is only a 20-minute walk to town, you are on a ridge road above the town and the road is quite steep and winding. If you are fit and like walking or have a vehicle, no problem at all. But you are not as close to town as the distance might appear. There are a few nice restaurants right in the area though. And the hotel will provide dinner with advance notice if you want. Again, these are not big things and we would certainly stay here again and heartily recommend it, but thought it was worth clarifying.

Wunderschöner Blick und super Frühstück! Gastgeberin hat uns alles auf Anfrage organisiert, das war sehr entspannend. Beim ankommen gab es auch direkt Kaffee, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch den Wasserfall sieht man perfekt von der Unterkunft.

The accommodation was great value and we were very well looked after by the host. The views are stunning and we enjoyed being out of the busy town of Ella.

Die Gastfamilie war super nett, das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Aussicht war der Hammer! Wir haben uns immer wohl gefühlt und uns wurde stets geholfen wenn wir Fragen hatten.

Glorious Nature Inn offers a truly magnificent view and peaceful surroundings, with basic amenities that cover the essentials. However, my experience felt more transactional than welcoming, lacking the warmth and care others had mentioned. Its remote location, while quiet, can feel quite isolating—especially being far from the village centre and with little interaction on-site.

It felt more like staying in someone’s home as a last-minute guest than a hosted experience, with a sense of isolation and minimal interaction throughout.

I booked this stay for two nights by looking at the reviews. And they didn’t fail me! I must say the photos don’t do justice to the actual experience that I got from here. The view is phenomenal. Breakfast was great and was neatly arranged every morning in our balcony. The host family was so so kind and took care of us like their own. Loved their hospitality totally!

There were few monkeys visiting us everyday 🙈🐒 They didn’t cause any trouble! I am just scared of them hehe.
