Excellent hospitality, beautiful views.

The hosts were really warm. The rooms were clean.

The place had a very homely warm feel. The family who ownes and runs the inn ,were very attentive, looked after all our needs, gave us excellent ideas for planning our day. The mama chef made us flavourful food and we tasted amazing srilankan breakfast items and varieties of fruit. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully planned. The views from the attached balcony were awesome. Definitely a lovely place to stay

The hospitality of the host was exceptional and made us feel very welcome throughout the stay. The food was delicious, host was friendly and helpful, and the view from the property was beautiful. The host also helped arrange transportation to and from the town center at a reasonable price and shared great recommendations on things to do and explore in Ella. Overall, it was excellent value for money and a very comfortable experience.

The property is located a little away from the town center, so transportation may be needed at times.

Host Imantha was so friendly and accomodating, and the location is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms clean and modern with all the amenities needed. We had dinner and breakfast at the property and the options were varied and delicious.

Die Gastfreundschaft von Imantha war wirklich aussergewöhnlich und etwas, das wir so selten erlebt haben. Er hat uns persönlich am Bahnhof abgeholt und sich einen Tag Zeit genommen, um uns verschiedene Spots rund um Ella zu zeigen. Am Ende hat er uns sogar weiter nach Weligama gefahren – eine Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft, die alles andere als selbstverständlich ist. Die Unterkunft ist frisch renoviert, sehr schön eingerichtet und traumhaft mitten im Dschungel gelegen. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und kann perfekt abschalten. Auch das Frühstück war unglaublich lecker, mit vielen exotischen Früchten und viel Liebe zubereitet. Dieser Aufenthalt wird uns definitiv lange in Erinnerung bleiben – und mit Imantha haben wir nicht nur einen tollen Gastgeber, sondern einen neuen Freund gewonnen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Family driven business. Imantha, his brother and his mom are all very helpful and made me feel at home. Location is a bit tricky, but once you get there you don’t want to leave anymore. Very comfortable and spacious room with balcony facing the Ella mountains. Quite ac and very comfortable bed under mosquito net. Bathroom has just been remolded and looks nice too. Breakfast is from another world, using local cuisine with fresh fruits, pancakes, omelete, and few more other things that I don’t know how to write. I also had dinner there and pasta was amazing. I really recommend staying at Avendra Inn if you’re looking for a good price, quiet and comfortable place. If next time in Ella I’ll stay there for sure.
