Hillcrest Ella

You don’t find good roads in Ella so I can’t say anything about reaching to the location. Fair enough. But still construction works going on and main lobby unfinished condition. Breakfast was ok for the value as had to pay additional for it.

Property is not completed still work and too much of drilling works.

View was amazing. Beyond our expectations. The hospitality of the staff and especially the manager was amazing. Breakfast was great and unlike some hotels they offered something different each morning. The shower was incredible and the balcony is to die for. Tok tok service is available from the hotel, they helped organise the train and spoke to them on our behalf, it’s an easy 15-20 minute walk down into Ella, about 500-800 to return uphill to hotel. Cannot praise this place enough, was a bargin and amazing!

I had a Nice stay during my vacation.This is the first time i visit place.warmly welcomed by the staff and they gives us a wonderful and confertable room.Room view was amazing.and also the foods that they given to us.Delicious.When we have leisure we will be their on the next time.Thank you staff.

We stayed at Hillcrest Ella for one night and, overall, had a pleasant experience. As noted in many previous reviews, the road leading up to the hotel is extremely steep and may not be suitable for all drivers. Fortunately, our driver was kind and skilled enough to take us all the way to the hotel gate, which made check-in and luggage handling much easier. The hotel offers a free tuk-tuk service to the main road, which is very helpful, especially for guests without their own transportation. However, this service is only available until 9:30 PM, so it's worth planning your evening accordingly. While we didn't try the breakfast and can't comment on it, we absolutely loved the view—from both the dining area and our deluxe room. Waking up to a breathtaking sunrise and a clear view of the original Ravana Falls from our balcony was truly special. The room and bathroom were relatively clean and comfortable. That said, as with many hillside accommodations in small towns like Ella, it's not uncommon to find a few ants or insects coming in under the door, so that’s something to be mindful of. All in all, Hillcrest Ella offers peaceful surroundings and unbeatable views, making it a great spot for nature lovers looking for a quiet stay away from the town center.

The lighting and decor of the corridor can be a bit more bright so that it doesn't give a shabby feeling when entering.
