Sunburst view

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is peaceful yet not too far from the center. The breakfasts were amazing, the view was breathtaking, and the bed was super comfortable. The host was incredibly kind – we had an early departure, and he even prepared a snack pack for our journey!

The walls were a bit damp, but that’s understandable given that the place is built into the hillside. The furnishings are quite basic, but for a short stay, they’re totally fine. Honestly, the hospitality of the host made up for everything. We felt so welcome, and we'd definitely stay here again!

The view from the balcony/terrace is really amazing, especially in the morning. Comfortable bed, friendly & welcoming host. Located a bit out of the busy and noisy center, a lot of nature around and close to hiking trails.

The rooms are built on the hill and the back of the rooms is built against the ground, therefore it’s very humid inside and it shows.. Not only smell of humidity but also damaged plaster and bedsheets that feel humid. Also the bathroom needs some care. Breakfast was basic: bread with jam & butter, an egg, papaya & tea.

Personally, perfect location. Easily walkable to the town centre (about 15min, dark at night, take a flashlight) but without the loud music and town noise. Amazing views with nice sunrise. Host very kind and helpful. Kind of on the way to Ella rock, with maps.me there's a nice way from the alley where the house is to the train track to start/finish that trek.

Lovely bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The view was amazing, during our stay it was cloudy, but if you’re lucky enough to have a clear sunrise you’ll be amazed!

It’s not extremely close to the center, so at night it can be a bit dark to come back. But it didn’t bother us :)

Very friendly and warm family, the views are very nice, very affordable and peaceful location and surroundings.

It's quite dated, mosquito net had some holes and we kept getting ants on the bed, a bit far from the town, small room, breakfast was average

Lovely view of the mountains, surrounded by nature. A really magical place to wake up to. The owners were very kind and helpful. They provided a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. Good location, away from the busyness of Ella Main Street. If you’re into walking/ hiking then this is a good place for you. Have a torch handy in the evenings. Clean and comfortable rooms.

Terrace view. Hot water. Amazing helpful staff. Located one hour walking distance from Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arches Bridge and even the Ella Rock.

Low water pressure. Clean but doesn’t look like it in detail.
