Old Town

The location was central, and we could walk to all the tourist sights, which was great. The room was spacious with a balcony and lots of natural light. We were provided towels and toiletries. The toilet even has a jet spray, which is a great advantage. The host is truly lovely, we arrived early and even though she was just prepping our room she allowed us to go leave our bags there.

However, I am extremely surprised by the ratings and reviews. Georgia in general has definitely baffled me on this. Firstly, due to no fault of their own there was no electricity until 6:30pm in the city and so the house had no power. We returned from sightseeing to a dark room and weren't even offered a candle. Ultimately, we had to go down and request one. One would expect a business to have a generator to provide some basic lights in the house when this happens, but nope, that wasn't the case at Old Town. Given the circumstance, it would have been nice to get a discount on the room rent on account of this, but sadly we weren't offered the option. We paid for a service and experience that wasn't 100% provided, it would have been nice to have a discount Secondly, please know this is a guest house, (Airbnb) which means they let out 2 main bedrooms from their home. The living room & reception were the same and the family sits and relaxes there during the day as one would in their home. We could hear them chit-chat, the TV sounds and all the cooking that was going on in the house. Our room was filled with the smell of the cooking. It felt like we were in their space, which we weren't expecting. The TV was on until quite late at night, and so we could hear it all the way.

Located in a quiet street in the center of the old town. Close to the main attractions and the bazaar. The room was exceptionally clean, bright, and cozy. The bed was super comfortable, there was an air-conditioner. The bathroom was also perfect and bathroom amenities were provided. Very neat and cozy place. Recommend it.

The only minus is that the shower pressure seems to be a bit lower than the usual but still ok to have a shower.

Location was fantastic, close to the centre and sights. Within walking distance of both bus and train stations. Room was very nice, exactly as in the pictures. WiFi was OK. Hosts friendly and helpful. Nice place to stay.

Nice and clean room in the old town, view to the fortress. Lovely host, very friendly. She called us a cheap taxi to Tbilisi. Everything was fine.

Lovely place. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Room was spotlessly clean, a nice size, and comfortable. Great air conditioning and WiFi. You have lots of privacy, and it's nice and quiet away from the road. Location is right in the centre. Can't recommend highly enough.
