Great place that makes you feel at home. Diana, the host, is super friendly and very approachable. I stayed here for the second time, and it will always be my first choice when I return to Hilo.

Very nice calm place. Convenient location not far from Hilo or the Volcanoes National Park. My room had a very nice view over the town towards the sea. The common rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped.

It is probably necessary, unfortunately, but there are just a tiny bit too many rules. The walls are not that soundproof which let's the room neighbors participate in e.g. phone calls.

We loved the location. Quiet and safe, near to town, shopping and beaches. Easy access to volcano national park. Diana is a great host.

We liked everything

The private bath in our king suite was important and wonderful. Diana is very organized, so the boundaries are clear. This made sharing the kitchen easy . Everything was immaculate. Diana was a wonderful host, very willing to recommend things to us and to accommodate our needs and questions. It was lovely to have all the open windows and the breeze and the deck off of our bedroom. We sat there during a rain storm and enjoyed it very much.

The bed seemed either with plastic beneath the sheets or some fabrics that didn’t breathe well. If we’d stayed longer we would have checked into alternative bedding. we enjoyed the breeze and all the open windows, but if someone were really sensitive to noise at night they should just know that the birds are very very loud outside the bedroom. We learned to love it.

Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Eigentümern der Unterkunft stellt frische Früchte aus ihrem Garten zur Verfügung (Avocado, Banane, Maracuja, Sternfrucht, Litschi bspw.)

Pro Nutzung der Waschmaschine fällt eine Gebühr von 10 Dollar an, was so nicht angegeben war.
