USIt was such a blast sleeping in a 13th Century castle! The room was lovely, plenty big with an outstanding view of the Umbrian countryside and a completely renovated bathroom. The AC was excellent. Mauro was an attentive host (Rita was out of town) and he provided a lovely breakfast on the patio one day and in his own kitchen on the next day, due to rain. The experience was a highlight of our 2-week trip through Italy.
As the B&B entrance is from the inside of the castle, we could have used better instructions to find the location. But Mauro was on the lookout for us and waited on his terrace for our arrival so he could direct us to the parking area (free) and castle entrance.

BRCom toda certeza a educação e atenção do Mauro aos detalhes fizeram toda a diferença na nossa estadia. Minha família se sentiu em casa e minha filha de 3 anos não queria ir embora.
NLWe werden ontzettend hartelijk door Mauro ontvangen. Hij liet veel zien aan ons en vertelde een hoop waardoor we ons heel welkom voelden. Hij bakte een taart en nam alle tijd om uitleg te geven. Het grootste appartement (beneden gelijkvloers) is ook de mooiste met veel ruimte en geschiedenis.
Het terras is prachtig maar door de regen konden we er niet ontbijten.
PLMr Mauro and his wife welcomed us very warmly. Rooms were clean, cosy and breakfast was delicious. Very close to all local attractions(there is even a direct bus to Perugia). I have been invited to his birthday event which took place in the local library with all his friends and neighbors. It was really interesting experience to spend some time with local residents. The society in Ripa really takes care about the castle and they keep it alive and cultural every day. 10/10
