Artika Wadi Kiki Hotel

L’hôtel est absolument magnifique. Décoré dans un style nubien, au bord du Nil ! Nous avions une suite familiale avec deux très grandes chambres, un salon et une terrasse au bord de l’eau. Incroyable ! Mon seul regret est de ne pas avoir pu en profiter assez car nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit et repartis tôt le matin.

Très joli hôtel avec une jolie architecture nubienne. Hôtel au calme le long du Nil. Se situe à l’entrée du village avec le souk. Endroit calme et apaisant.

1. Uns wurde ein Taxi für den Transfer Airport- Hotel angeboten zum Preis von $ 40 mit AC bzw $30 ohne AC. Das ist richtig überteuert, wir haben uns deshalb für Uber entschieden 2. Das (schöne) Zimmer hatte leider nur ein Mini-Fenster, weshalb es nachts sehr stickig war 3.Das ist eigentlich ausschlaggebend für die Vergabe von leider nur 6 Punkten: Beim Abendessen, zu dem unsere ägyptischen Freunde eingeladen hatten, wurden uns 2 verschiedene Speisekarten vorgelegt, eine für Ägypter und eine für Touristen (mit unterschiedlichen Preisen). Obwohl wir Gäste unseres ägyptischen Freundes wurde erst nach längeren Diskussionen zugestimmt, nur die Karte für Ägypter zur Bezahlung zu verwenden, das war unserem Freund sehr peinlich und sollte sich so nicht wiederholen 4. Hat nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun, ich möchte es trotzdem aber erwähnen. In der Lokalität nebenan wird ein ausgewachsenes Nilkrokodil seit 25 Jahren in einem viel zu kleinen Käfig im Boden gehalten, es ist schrecklich!

the breakfast was reasonable, not super fancy but sufficient for my needs, the food are very tasty but maybe not a huge variety

We had a lovely 2 night stay in a large 2br suite. Hotel was clean and quiet. The included breakfast was in a lovely location and had plenty of options. We arrived late the first night and were greeted warmly with a welcome hibiscus drink while check in was finalized and then taken to our room. The area immediately surrounding the hotel has several tourist shops and stands and can get quite busy in the early evening when tours come via boat to visit the Nubian Village but the hotel always felt quiet and relaxing. The hotel could be considered rustic - but it's worth any inconvenience or lack of amenities to experience the charm. Beer for purchase at the restaurant (best if you use EGP). We purchased some and then enjoyed on our own waterfront balcony area one evening.

It’s a beautiful complex of houses just next to the Nile. We had a wonderful evening! The surroundings have som restaurants, shops and ATMs , it’s super safe!

Getting to the hotel by car can be a bit tricky, but it is safe. Its better to arrange a driver directly with the hotel or come by boat.
