Cantrip Cottage

Gillie runs a lovely B and B in a lovely rural location. She is very friendly, approachable and attentive. My double room was clean, warm and had everything I needed. Gillie cleaned my room everyday, and her high standards came through in the attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed was comfy, and I had a restful stay. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit and toast followed by a full cooked breakfast. I got to sit with other guests which made it social and the garden view is beautiful. I would definitely return and recommend a stay here. Thank you, Gillie. Hopefully see you again someday in the future!

Very quiet and peaceful location. Comfortable bed and excellent shower/facilities in the room. Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh as I arrived in the dining area. Lovely host - nothing is too much trouble. Highly reccomended.

Large spacious room was spotlessly clean. The bed and bed linen was very comfortable and the breakfast the following morning was hot and tasty. We were made to feel very welcome by the host

Outstanding stay which exceeded my expectations especially our amazing friendly host , this place was spotlessly clean , decorated to the highest standard lovely and warm with all the home comforts., we had a wonderful night sleep. The breakfast area was beautiful and went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful experience, she even ensured I had a lovely vegan cooked breakfast and oat milk. My mum had the standard cooked breakfast which she said was outstanding. Her beautiful dog was absolutely delightful..

We had a memorable stay with Gillie at the Cantrip Cottage. It has an idyllic location in the country, with pristine surroundings. The Cottage is charming with access to all modern conveniences. The room was immaculate with a fabulous view over the surrounding countryside. Gillie is a lovely, welcoming host, and she was friendly and warm. We were treated to a sumptuous home cooked breakfast by her (classic English B'fast) which kept us going for the entire week thereafter :) We loved our stay!!!

The accommodation is excellent very clean and tidy. Great rural location within walking distance of local villages, very peaceful. Breakfast has an excellent choice and the host was very informative and helpful.

If anything you need to book a taxi if going out without the car but you could eventually get a taxi if your willing to persist with calling around.
