Albert Guest - Galle Fort

Great location, especially for those just spending one or two nights in Galle and want to be close to the essentials. Laundry service is available.

Quite a few things really! They did not offer filtered water for filling our re-usable water bottles, although they did offer a teapot of boiled water from the kettle. The ceiling fan only operated on one of the higher speeds. The other settings did not work at all. The a/c was also a little difficult to switch on. We only used it a couple of times and on both occasions we had to have the manager come in to start the machine. There were 2 electrical sockets in the room - both really inconvenient or impractical to use: one was behind the bed and had a lamp plugged in, the other was underneath the dressing table and mirror unit. This was difficult to access - it involved pulling out the chair and either squatting or kneeling on the floor. There were also 2 sockets in the bathroom - I couldn't get either of these to work. The pillowcases had seen better days - they were very worn and one had holes. I was surprised it was not a private balcony but that is my fault, the details do say 'balcony' not 'private balcony'. It is the shared wrap-around balcony that fringes the upper floor of the building.

The room was listed as deluxe. Basic would be a more honest description, but it was still ok. The bed was comfortable but not good for tall people

I would stay again because a geko in the room, and breakfast was poor but the price was great and location even better so sometimes that means more

A comfortable place to stay inside Galle Fort. Room was fine. Short walk to any where.

Everything it is as pictured and described 👍 The room was a good size, comfy bed, location was great, traditional big house, super friendly and kind staff. Breakfast is delicious 🥰 I recommend it to everyone who chooses to stay inside Fort Galle to pick Albert Guest - Galle Fort. Thank you guys for taking care of me and offered to organize taxi service as well ❤️

Breakfast was good. Location is excellent. Price good. Room was clean. Bed was comfy and has mosquito netting.

I could hear everything from the next door room as there seemed to be a gap between rooms at the ceiling. Shower was Luke warm. Windows didn't close. Place could do with an update.

Great location, very quiet on a side street. Very comfortable bed, and very clean. Fantastic breakfast. Hosts arranged very good value transfer to Colombo airport - much cheaper than anything we found online. Highly recommended.
