The location and the retro style building added to its charm. The many old retro items in the house gave it an added heritage feeling

The place is really nice and has a lot of potential. The stuff was really kind and helpful.

We got there pretty late, wanted to take a shower but there was no hot water 😔 the next day it was okay, but we got a little cold. The main door was closed during the night and we didn't know, got a little scared at first.

I have only one complaint and it's serious. Otherwise I loves the place.

shower is extremely weak , hardly any pressure no bath taps to compensate the bucket bath. So two days shower was super compromise.

the staff, the common areas and beautiful garden and location

room was terrible, full of ants actually the whole place is invaded with ants even common areas, the room was humid and a/c was not working, the staff did their best to help clean the room but they didn’t change our room to a better one they only proposed worse ones. It seems that the owners are not caring anymore about this property that why the latest reviews are all negative and if things don’t change things will only go worse, if you don’t want to invest that’s ok but the minimum is to provide a clean room with minimum human amneties

The hotel has an old world charm, replete with antique furniture and an old bookshelf...the breakfast was king-size and the location is absolutely picturesque.

Everything was perfect.

Das Frühstück

Check in klappte gut, dass war es dann auch. Sehr hellhörig. Ich wollte abends noch etwas zu trinken kaufen gehen, aber wir wurden in der Unterkunft eingeschlossen und niemand war da. Am nächsten Morgen fragte ich dann ob ein Late Check Out möglich ist, ich würde es natürlich bezahlen. Ich fragte bei zwei Personen nach und beide sagten dass es kein Problem sei. Leider verstehen sie wohl nicht gut Englisch, als wir später zurück kamen, hieß es wir müssten raus, weil alle Zimmer belegt sind. Ich habe dann bei Booking noch eine Nacht gekauft, da verfügbar. Trotzdem wurden wir permanent gedrängt auszuchecken und für drei Stunden länger eine komplette weitere Nacht gezahlt und durften trotzdem nicht bleiben. Absolut unfreundlich. Als wir dann unser Taxi hatten hieß es plötzlich der Schlüssel fürs Zimmer wäre weg. Hatte ihn in der Tür stecken lassen. Nach hin und her hatte dann jemand vom Person den Schlüssel genommen. Im Zimmer waren viele Mosquitos und Ameisen. Ich kann es leider überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Die entäuschendste Unterkunft die wir bisher in Sri Lanka hatten
