The Buena Vista Kandy

Die Lage war außergewöhnlich schön, oberhalb von Kandy mit wunderbarem Blick auf Kandy und die Berge. Sonnenaufgang am Morgen auf der Terrasse. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und familiär. Sampath hat uns immer mit dem Tuk Tuk gefahren, wann wir es wollten. Danke für diese tolle Zeit in Kandy! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The property is nicely presented, the room was very spacious with a big, comfortable bed. Lovely views around the property. We were kindly greeted with a welcome drink.

The location is not ideal for exploring on foot, the property is quite far up the hill so a tuk tuk / taxi, or your own transport is required to get into the town. If you’re using a tuk tuk / taxi I would recommend using ride hailing apps (Uber or PickMe) as the tuk tuk organised for us by the property was considerably more expensive.

A very quiet getaway since only 3 rooms of guests. Staff were friendly and helped us with Tuk bookings and suggested hospital when my wife fell ill

The hospitality was nice. Clean rooms and nice environment.

Amazing hospitality from the start, room with amazing views. Breakfast was so yum, and very filling - set up outside, so you can take in the views whilst you eat. Tuk tuk arranged into the city, and help with where to buy tickets for the Kandy's cultural dance show. Sampath also helped us with the closest laundry service, for a quick under 24 hour turnaround and a taxi to our next destination.

Stayed here a few times and it can not be beaten! The view, building and rooms are all lovely. The cooking is some of the best food I have had and the staff are delightful.

Sehr geräumig, mit tollem Blick auf Kandy. Daher nicht so trubelig und laut wie direkt in der Stadt. Ausflüge unbedingt mit Sampath vom Hotel machen. Er bringt einen zu den besten Plätzen in der Stadt, ist sehr flexibel und zuverlässig, nimmt für seine Dienste meines Erachtens viel zu wenig Geld und ist vor allem ein super sympathischer, hilfsbereiter Mensch!

Das Bad fiel gegenüber dem Rest der Unterkunft leider etwas ab.

Beautiful place high above the busy city, peaceful and quiet, amazing views! The place itself is lovely, very authentic so clean and comfortable. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Preparing the most delicious Sri Lankan food iv ever tasted and Rathna so kindly showed us around the city. Absolutely wonderful stay, one of the best places to stay in the world! I highly recommend it!

A beautiful location! Clean, quiet and lovely staff.

A great place. Awesome view off the kindly shared terrace. Lots of fruit trees on the property with a number of really cool birds coming by to check them out. Great staff. Very fine breakfast. What more do you want?

The location was a bit up a hill and traffic to get there was sometimes a bit of a thing. Also I didn’t appreciate hearing the call to prayer for whoever go on for…The call was distant, but persistent.
