The accommodation is just a short walk from one of the central squares, so it’s directly in the middle of Matera, but at the same time on a quiet street. The owner picked us up at the bus station - it is about a 45-minute walk from the centre, so it was a huge help. We were served breakfast in the morning, even though it wasn’t listed in the accommodation description (a nice surprise!). The apartment is spacious and has an outside terrace with tables and chairs.

Since the accommodation is in a rock cave, it can be a bit damp and fusty, but that’s to be expected. Plus, there’s a dehumidifier available.

Perfect location! So easy to get to all the different parts of matera. Stunning little courtyard, really nice when it’s sunny. Beds very comfortable. Staff so lovely, really helpful and nothing was too much of an ask. Luca had a coffee and focaccia for us at breakfast every day.

Small thing and Luca did warn us about this but the wifi doesn’t reach far in to the rooms. Best signal was in the courtyard - not a problem when it’s sunny and warm but it was still a little chilly when we were there.

Chiara es el alma del alojamiento. Por lo tanto, lo que ya es excelente en sí, se multiplica.

emplacement de rêve, chambre agréable et très bien aménagée, petit déjeuner très apprécié, hôtes prévenants, accueillants et professionnels. Une adresse à retenir !!!!
