Girgola

Unlike at many guesthouses I have stayed at in Georgia, the room was pretty much of hotel quality minus a TV set. The kitchen is well stocked and clean. I did a load of laundry for free. I paid for the host for a taxi service to but not from Chalaadi Glacier. It may have been slightly more expensive than offers I could have got in the city center, but it seemed more reliable to me and it was nice book ahead and start the ride from the guesthouse.

The large dog is not aggressive--it did not bark even the first time I went in the gate--and it does enjoy being petted, but it does bark a lot when it hears other dogs in the neighborhood barking.

Great hotel in Mestia! Very clean and comfortable. Rooms were actually soundproofed which is quite rare. The shared kitchen is huge and well equipped and only for guests (not shared with the host family), which again is quite rare. Each room has a little table and chairs outside and there's also tables and chairs in the garden and in the common area along with a TV and sofa, so lots of communal space. Short 10 minute walk to the centre but lots of more shops nearby. Would definitely return!

Clean, very well equipped common areas, cosy garden

Cozy clean place with a very nice garden and view, ~7 min from center. Room have enough space even for long stay - there is a wardrobe and a lift bed. And a table so you can work or drink tea at. Warm during winter - there are radiator and heater, host can also give you additional heat fan. Shower and toilet also comfortable and clean, enough hot water for 2. Kitchen downstairs only for guests (host family live in another building). Equipped with a dishwasher, so everything is really clean and you can as well use it for work/chill. There is a TV with a sofa and 4 tables. Oven, stove, toaster, good variety of dishes. Next room in renovation now, but already have a working washing machine. In the garden there are garden house with a BBQ set and other places to seat. Small markets down the road 1 min walk. Plus, hike to cross from this side of Mestia is much better than main route and you can go from house in one hour. Host Geo is friendly and helpful, thanks so much for wonderful stay!
