Villa Marietta

Location. Minori is a lovely little town in the Amalfi Coast. The hosts, Vincenzo and Carmela, are very welcoming and a lot of fun!

Wonderful place to stay in beautiful Minori, high on the hillside amongst the lemon groves with sweeping views of the town and harbour. Hosts couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful. Generous, delicious breakfast. Clean, comfortable room. A 15 minute walk up from town but doable for those in good shape. An hourly minibus is also available.

Stunning location, amazing hosts! Vincent and Camilla are the most beautiful souls who will do anything for you. From homemade lemon cello, panacotta, profiteroles, chocolate mousse! We were made to feel like one of the family. We laughed, we drank, we ate. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday! Much love xx

The views are absolutely breathtaking. The owners are incredibly nice and the breakfast is superb, with home cooked food. The bedroom is comfortable and quiet. The parking is free.

The bathroom was small.

The view from the room was to die for, breakfasts were great, clean and comfortable. AC doesn’t work but host had a fan for us which was plenty

Either drive or get a ride, or be ready for a LOT of stairs to get to the property

The view is breathtaking! From the room you can see beautiful Minori. The hosts were ao welcoming and provided great recommendations.

A little outdated and the bed is not as comfortable as expected. No air conditioning.

Vincenzo and Carmella’s hospitality is unmatched. Our best experience in Italy because of how kind and fun they were - the views are stunning. We were greeted with limoncello and cake, then wine and a sandwich. Breakfast is homemade every morning, a good amount of food compared to the coffee shops in town. The room was very spacious (except shower was pretty small), cleaned daily and towels changed. The mini bus runs every hour from the church up to the villa which is helpful when you first arrive with luggage but it is also a short walk to the lemon path which leads you down the mountain into the city (about 15 minute walk/steps).

The place was a little bit hard to find coming into the city but once you arrive, it’s all worth it! I do not suggest driving in Amalfi and the busses are usually very packed, also quite difficult to get a taxi. Best option is to walk (be prepared for steps) or take a ferry.

Magnificent views of the sea and also to Ravello and very friendly hosts, Vincenzo and Carmella. Room was cleaned everyday, bed was very comfortable and breakfast was traditional Italian with fruit from the garden and a different cake everyday made by Carmella. Our favourite was the panna cotta. There are many steps to get to the town but for those of us who prefer not to attempt these there is a mini bus at various times of the day to go up and down. This is only one euro per trip and takes about 10 minutes. When we arrived Vincenzo greeted us with Limoncello (made by Carmella) and a glass of red wine which was quite an unexpected surprise. The day we arrived was very hot but we soon cooled down with the fan in our room. There are also lovely outdoor seating areas for guests to enjoy. We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Marietta and recommend it to guests seeking a traditional family run B&B in Minori with spectacular views!

To be honest, the steps down from the road to our room, no problem if you’re young, but not good for dodgy knees!

Breathtaking views, brilliant breakfast. We loved every moment of our stay at Villa Marietta. This was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Vincenzo and Carmella are wonderful hosts.
