Location was great. Very nicely decorated/furnished hotel. Lift was useful. Price we paid was great, although we booked some months ago and the new management did not honour our booking, instead offering us a standard room rather than the larger deluxe we had originally booked. Beds very comfortable. Hot water for shower no issue. View spectacular.

Our main issue was noise. Every night from 8pm to 11pm, there was live music in the restaurant that was incredibly loud in our room 2 floors down (second floor). We did not use the restaurant at all during our 5-day stay due to this and vacated our room during those hours to escape the din. Invariably, when it finished at 11pm, I'm assuming again from the restaurant, furniture being scraped and moved for 20 mins reverberates throughout. I also feel new management should have honoured bookings made previous to their takeover. We had chosen a larger room due to the fact we were there for 5 nights and really struggled with lack of space. I would not have been happy to pay the current new price, which has almost doubled. The location is ideal for exploring old town, but all the restaurants near us each had blaring music of different styles going off in a cacophony every night, which we found a bit much. Probably would not stay again on that basis. Not entirely the hotels fault, just our preference these days.
