B&B Pompei Passion

The location is fine.

It is just the room witha a bed, it is not an apartment. Kitchen shared, the lift looks dangerous, old and small. We took it by stairs to the 5th. floor to be safe.

Pompei passion is very conveniently located near the city center and the archaeological site. We stayed in Stanza Rossa which is a nicely decorated double-room with a beautiful big bathroom. Comfortable for a double-room but it would have been cramped if the folding bet was open. We were welcomed by Francisco, the person that runs the bar where the breakfast is served. He was very friendly and helpful. Meeting the actual hosts would have been appreciated. However, they responded quickly to emails.

We were aware from previous reviews that breakfast was poor and the bed was not comfortable. But most importantly, the curtains and bed covers were not clean. We trust bedsheets were clean but had red/brown spots. We stayed 4 nights and the bedsheets and towels were changed only the last day upon our request (via email). The minibar was out of order. Francisco said we could use the fridge in the common room which was ok. However it seemed that the minibars in two more rooms were not working (we saw people coming out of their rooms to get cold water from the common fridge). Locking the door was a challenge. Mounted make up mirror was high for a man of medium height. Open wardrobe was too high for a man of any height. No shower shelves.

The room is clean, tidy and equipped (air conditioner, hood, television, mini fridge), they clean the room everyday and change the towels daily. The internet is fast and reliable. The view from the balcony is wonderful, you can see the mountains in the distance and the Vesuvius volcano, the city is very beautiful from above. The sun sets behind the Vesuvius volcano and you can enjoy it from the balcony. The apartment building is quiet, there are many guesthouses in it, the hotel is on the 5th floor, which is taken up by a rickety, tiny elevator.The street is quiet, the hotel area was good and close to the center, restaurants/shops can be reached within a few minutes' walk. The hotel's hall is shared, you have access to kitchen accessories (kettle, microwave oven, sink...) Books and games are available in case you get bored. From Pompeii, the bus and train transport is convenient, many places are easily accessible (e.g. Mount Vesuvius, Sorrento, Naples, Mount Faito - cable car, and many beaches).

The staff doesn't speak English well (few words only) so communication is very difficult. The breakfast is in another building about 400 meters away, outside on the pedestrian street, in a small cafe, and the breakfast selection is minimal (coffee/juice and pastry - croissant, no vegetable/fruit/sandwich...). The mini fridge is not working properly in the room.

Nice, clean room and bathroom. The check-in was easy and communication with the host was easy, smooth.

Excellent place, clean, very nice, quiet, good amenities, nice bathroom with shower. Loves this place!! Will definitely stay again if I come to Pompei again.

Beautiful room, very comfortable, great bathroom and next to the centre of the town.

Too many mosquitoes, a net in the balcony door would make the room perfect.
