Our exceptional experience at A Casa Dalla Tata played a huge part in our wonderful trip to Italy. Letizia, the owner and host, is very kind and hospitable - and a magnificent cook! She was very helpful in giving us information about the area and about how to get around. The house is on the side of a hill with magnificent views of Lago Maggiore. It is a very short walk to the train station at the bottom of the hill. The room was elegant and modern. The bed is low and comfortable, and the bathroom is modern and spacious. We always looked forward to coming home to Letizia’s wonderful accommodation after a day’s travels. Her breakfasts are outstanding and you can also purchase her wonderful dinners. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed Letizia and her wonderful Casa Dalla Tata. She puts forth every effort to make her guests comfortable. She speaks English very well.

We stayed at Casa dalla Tata for 6 nights and can warmly recommend the accomodation. Once we arrived the hostess warmly welcomed us and offered us a glass of wine. She introduced us to the sights in the area and gave recommendations on how to spend time at Lago Maggiore. We were amazed by the outstanding breakfast we got served every morning. The breakfast itself is worth the stay at Casa dalla Tata. It covers everything the heart desires and the hostess responded to all of our individual wishes. Once we got to the breakfast room the hostess introduced us to her homemade patisserie, jams and other dishes of which all tasted magnificient. We could feel she was preparing the breakfast with absolute love and passion. Besides the outstanding breakfast, the accomodatons offered a beautiful panoramic view across the lake which we could enjoy in the evenings.

This charming B&B has everything you need for a comfortable stay at Lago Maggiore, and is run by the most welcoming and kind lady we met on our visit to Italy. Letizia made our visit complete by taking time to tell us about the local area, recommend restaurants and discuss italian politics and history. She also provides a delectable home made breakfast, that really shouldn’t be missed, with the best croissants in Italy.

Nothing to dislike, except that we couldn’t stay longer. We would advice to have a car when visiting, though, as Stresa and Baveno is a short drive away, but a bit too long to walk.
