"Perfect getaway"

Lovely cosy and clean room set on beautiful grounds. They even have a little garage that they’ve decorated out as a smoking shelter which was a nice touch. The pictures online do not do this place justice at all!

The only downside was due to the weather. We had planned to do so much during our trip but unfortunately a storm hit during our stay. This is obviously not a fault with the accommodation or the owners which means I don’t have anything bad to say about the property itself. The bed and bedding were SO comfortable, I managed to get so relaxed and cosy which is something I struggle with usually. The owners were friendly and very helpful, even offering us a lift to the pub. Due to the weather we decided to stay in but it was still a nice getaway and I wish we could’ve stayed longer.

"Just what was needed."

Everything, it was a last minute idea for my partner and her daughter to just get away for a night and leave the world behind and it did exactly that, great host too very nice.

Fantastic location, very peaceful. Well presented lodge with an amazing bathroom. Home grown produce for sale on site at very reasonable prices.

Breakfast is only continental & washing up etc needs to be done yourself. Not something I really want to do when on holiday. Could have had a small fridge in room as although a ‘customer’ fridge is supplied in the breakfast room it is a walk away if you want a hot drink.
