Goood communication from the host and a nice welcome. Easy check in and out system. I loved the history of the house, the position in the town and the garden. The room was nice with a lovely view of the garden from the balcony. We had a day of wet weather which was a little chilly and we came back to the room to warm up, however the heating wasn't on and the air conditioning unit had a fault. We informed the host who very quickly offered us an alternative room which was warmer and definitely an upgrade as it was very grand. We loved it and were very grateful for her good customer service. The beds were very comfortable and we had a really good night's sleep.

We found the breakfast area quite cramped and not very comfortable. It felt quite cold and clinical but am sure in the summer when it's warm, breakfast on the terrace outside overlooking the garden is lovely. Breakfast was basic but there was enough to eat.
